FAMVIR
Important Safety Information
FAMVIR (famciclovir) Tablets are not for everyone. In clinical studies with FAMVIR, the most commonly reported side effects included headache, diarrhea and nausea. Ask your doctor if FAMVIR is right for you. If you have kidney problems, your doctor will determine if FAMVIR is appropriate, and if so, what the right dose is for you.
There is no cure for genital herpes. There is no evidence that FAMVIR can stop the spread of herpes to others. If you are sexually active, you can still pass herpes to your partner, even if you are taking FAMVIR.
FAMVIR has not been studied in people under 18 years of age. Talk to your doctor if you are younger than 18 and plan to use FAMVIR.
FAMVIR has not been proven effective against first genital herpes outbreaks.
FAMVIR has not been studied for suppressive therapy beyond 1 year of treatment. FAMVIR suppressive therapy has not been studied in people with HIV. |
